If you are in any way connected to an existing Trust or Trusts, whether that be as a Trustee, a Beneficiary or the person who created the Trust, then it is highly likely that you are required to register that Trust or Trusts ON or BEFORE 1st September 2022. If the Trustee(s) fails/fail to register a Trust by that date, then they could be subject to a penalty imposed upon them by HMRC.
Therefore, if the Trustee(s) is/are not confident that they have the ability to do this themselves directly with HMRC, then they should contact the legal firm or accountancy firm which originally arranged the Trust(s) and request for them to register the Trust(s) on behalf of the Trustee(s) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
Otherwise, we charge a flat fee of £50.00 to register a Trust on the Trustees’ behalf.
